For breakfast this morning, I savored an Abbracci cookie while sipping my cappuccino.
This is an Italian hard circular cookie that is half chocolate, half cream. Abbracci means “hugs” in Italian. I discovered it during my study abroad experience in Italy, so it brings back memories. This is a nice little sweet treat on the weekend.
If you have not tried them, I recommend picking them up at an Italian grocery store in person. If you order online, from Amazon for example, the cookies might arrive in pieces. However, one Italian grocery store, Piccolo’s Gastronomia Italiana, always packages this bag of cookies very well and my cookies have arrived mostly whole.
