As you may have heard on the news, Maryland was just hit with a blizzard, meaning snow and wind. My hometown got about 29 inches of snow. I work as a leasing professional at the apartment community where I live, so management expected me to keep the office open. Yes, during a blizzard. I didn't actually manage to rent an apartment... Although, I have sold luggage in one! Personally, I am in favor of closing down businesses whenever driving conditions are hazardous. Anyway, I waited on the maintenance guys who were plowing the streets and snow-blowing the sidewalks regularly, staying in the leasing office the entire weekend. I heated up the pot of chili that my boss made for them for dinner after my shift on Friday and for lunch during my shift on Saturday.
Blizzard conditions continue after 5 Saturday evening.
Since I worked my normal hours, I am catching up on enjoying being snowed in with a cup of Ghirardelli Double Chocolate cocoa topped with whipped cream yesterday evening and another this morning. Today's cup also featured chocolate drizzle. I served myself in the Essential Mug from Crate & Barrel which I love. Both cups were delicious.
I have an exciting blog announcement! You may have already noticed being redirected or the minor blog changes, but I still wanted to tell you guys. On Thursday evening, I purchased a custom domain. This blog's web address is now theitaliagal.com rather than what it used to be: italiagal.blogspot.com. I think this is more professional and serious, which reflects my dedicated and passionate personality. I still allow Blogger to host for me though. I wanted to mention it to both share my excitement and to make sure that I don't lose you as you might need to edit how you reach this blog. I love this blog and it is here to stay! I feel that it's now set in stone: I am the italiagal.
