Basic Book Reviews: What I Read During 2013: Part 3

Oops! I forgot to review a book! ...and I just read it during November. I simply cannot leave the promotion of this important book out! Make sure to view the other two dozen titles of the books I read throughout 2013 in Part 1 and Part 2.

25. Joie de Vivre: Secrets of Wining, Dining and Romancing Like the French by Harriet Welty Rochefort
I expected this to be light reading, and I'm glad it wasn't. Instead, this is an intense look at the French and their way of life. The author married a Frenchman and has lived as an expat for decades. She is such a wonderful observer and I highly recommend her writing.

  1. Thanks for the tip! I'm living in Paris for two months, so this would be a perfect book to tuck in with on the cold rainy winter nights here.
