Style Sunday: Metal Bed

I've always wanted a metal bed. ...and actually haven't found the perfect one yet! I want something simple ...but with just a bit of scrollwork. I've been leaning towards the ones in silver.

I recently came across this one with its Roman arches...

I wonder if this is the one... It's a budget-friendly option, at least $100-200 cheaper than so many of the others out there! Anything would be better than my warm oak bed, which I've had for the past 18 years and is no longer my taste.

  1. The metal bed is from Wayfair and I cannot say enough good about their customer service. We ordered our coffee table from them, for over a hundred less than a local store (we usually go local, but we were on a time crunch and they wouldn't get it in for 6-8 weeks), and when it showed up the glass was perfect except for a tiny sliver missing on the underside. Worried it might jeopardize the strength of it, I called and they immediately sent a replacement glass piece out. Overall, they ship quick and the woman on the phone was super friendly, even commiserating about glass tables and babies. I say if you like it, save and order it. :)

    1. Thank you for that recommendation. I saw their TV commercial and promptly went online to check things out. I'll keep it in mind.

  2. I've always wanted a metal bed as well. Years ago it was a brass bed that I dreamed of but I don't have he same love affair with brass I had then. Not sure what metal I'd prefer now.

The one good thing for you being single is that you can buy the bed *you* want. I'm not sure how my husband would feel about a metal bed, he's still pining over the loss of his waterbed!

    1. An overly ornate one wouldn't be so me, but I also wouldn't want a very swirly one because I would want a guy to be okay with it in the future. I've wanted a metal bed for at least a decade and plan to keep it for at least the same!
